Art Fusion: Japanese Contemporary Pioneers 2012
Tokyo...August 31st, 2012
Take a break from the N.Y. minute and contemplate quieter realities with Artrates' newest show of young Japanese artists.
A sophisticated and playful blend of the traditional and the contemporary, ART FUSION glimpses at deeper Japanese Art history.
A calmer, slower exhibition than those previously curated by Artrates, ART FUSION looks at the break from the 'international rush' that Japan and it's young artists are currently taking.
Uniquely Japanese notions such as "Wabi-Sabi" - A blend of opposites resulting in beauty... have been carefully curated into the show and skillfully woven into the individual sculptures, paintings and mixed media works being exhibited.
Opening on October 30th at Jadeite gallery and running until November 10th, ART FUSION brings together sensitivities often unseen outside the island of Japan.
